Environment
Our commitment is to consistently enhance our environmental performance through the implementation of measures aimed at reducing carbon emissions, optimizing energy consumption, promoting and preserving biodiversity, as well as effectively managing waste and raw materials.

OVERSIGHT AND MANAGEMENT
The Sustainable Development Department is responsible for the management of the Group's impacts and the effectiveness of processes on the economy, the environment, and people. The BoD has the overall oversight of sustainable development topics, while it approves the development and updating of the corporate purpose, the Group's mission, the Sustainable Development Strategy, the relevant policies, and targets, which are developed by the Sustainable Development Department and the other relevant departments.
A Sustainable Development Committee was established in early 2024. The main purpose of the Committee is to assist the BoD in strengthening and overseeing the long-term commitment of the Company and the Group to achieve the strategic sustainable development goals.

the 10 universal principles of the UN Global Compact
LAMDA Development since 2024 is a member of the UN Global Compact - and the UN Global Compact Network Greece - the largest global Sustainable Development initiative, with more than 23,000 members in more than 160 countries and 69 Local Networks.
By actively participating, LAMDA Development supports and aligns its strategies and activities with the 10 Universal Principles of the Compact on Human Rights, Labour, the Environment and Anti-Corruption.
Human rights
Principle 1: We support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that we are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Labour
Principle 3: We uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Environment
Principle 7: We support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-corruption
Principle 10: We work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
